Fire extinguishers that will work the moment you need them

A fire extinguisher is the first means of stopping a fire at its earliest stage — but only if it is in good working order, charged and inspected on time. SIA “U-Drošība” covers the full life cycle of your fire extinguishers: annual and five-year inspections, refilling, repair, supply of new extinguishers and disposal of worn-out units. We work in accordance with Cabinet Regulation No. 238 and the LVS 332 standard, with transparent fixed prices and a written maintenance agreement.

Annual and 5-year inspections

We carry out technical inspections of fire extinguishers in line with regulatory requirements: the annual check and the in-depth five-year inspection. After each inspection the extinguisher receives a label and the records are documented, so you can always demonstrate compliance during a VUGD inspection.

Refilling and repair

After use, or where an inspection identifies a non-compliance, we refill and repair the extinguisher, restoring it to full working order. This is a cost-effective alternative to buying a new unit — a properly refilled and repaired extinguisher continues to serve in accordance with the manufacturer's and the standard's requirements.

Supply and equipping

We supply new fire extinguishers to suit the fire hazard class and floor area of your site. We help determine the required number, type and placement of extinguishers so that the site is fully equipped in line with fire safety requirements — without overspending and without the risk of being under-protected.

Disposal and record-keeping

We take back and dispose of worn-out or irreparable extinguishers in an environmentally responsible and regulation-compliant manner. At the same time we maintain a register of your extinguishers and their inspection schedule, reminding you of the next due date so that no inspection is ever missed.

Frequently asked questions

Fire extinguishers require an annual technical inspection as well as an in-depth inspection every five years. We maintain a register of your extinguishers and remind you of every inspection deadline in good time, so your site always remains compliant.

We calculate the cost of inspections, refilling, repair and the supply of new extinguishers individually — depending on the number, type and capacity of the extinguishers.

Most extinguishers can be refilled and repaired, restoring them to full working order — this is usually more cost-effective than buying a new unit. If an extinguisher is worn out and beyond repair, we supply a new one and dispose of the old unit.

The required number, type and placement of extinguishers depends on the site's floor area, fire hazard class and intended use. We provide a free consultation for contract clients and help equip your site exactly as the fire safety regulations require.

Yes. After each inspection the extinguisher receives a label and we document the inspection records. This means you can demonstrate the compliance of your extinguishers to the state and municipal fire safety supervisory authority (VUGD) at any time.
